Super Filling Smoothie Recipe

I’m not gonna bore you with stuff like how this smoothie changed my life like every other recipe on the internet LOL. But I will tell you that this smoothie recipe keeps you full for hours and balances blood sugars. Give this smoothie a shot and let me know what you think. Ok, let’s get started, shall we?

So, you want to use about a half a cup of frozen fruit – I mix it up. Today I did half cherries, half mango; the other day I did just strawberries.. do you sis. Oh, and I should also mention that you need a blender :0) I use the ninja and I love it (linked on my LTKit). Ok, back to the recipe. Next up, you’re going to want to use about one to two handfuls of greens. What does this mean? Spinach, kale, arugula… whatever your heart desires (I mean.. I wouldn’t recommend iceberg lettuce or anything because the whole point of the greens it to get tons of micronutrients). I prefer spinach.

Next up, you’re going to want to add a healthy source of fat – I use either peanut butter or avocado depending on what taste I’m looking for. If I’m feeling wild, I use chia seeds, but I prefer something that blends a bit easier.

Now, I add my powder and potions. I add liquid chlorophyll for the benefits – not for the filling factor. Chlorophyll is good for liver detoxification (which I will probably always need because of #college) and for improving red blood cell function. It doesn’t taste like anything – I just use the dropper and drop like 12 drops into my smoothie mix.

I also add 2 scoops of my vital protein collagen powder which I have previously mentioned on here. Collagen is good for hair, skin and nails and also just contains a lot of protein. It literally blends so perfectly, you don’t even know it’s there. Next up, I add one scoop of inulin powder (a prebiotic fiber) to the smoothie mix. Inulin is amazing for gut health, helps balance blood sugars, and keeps you full for longer.

You will need to add water to the blender (I like my smoothies thick, so I don’t add too much – add more if you like them more liquid). Blend all of these yummy things up, pour into a cute glass with a reusable straw and drink up!

Until next time,
